During my senior year of high school, I realized all of my friends knew where they were going to college. I didn’t even know how to apply. My parents couldn’t afford to help me pay for college and I thought financial aid was only for kids with perfect GPAs. I requested a few brochures, but after seeing the annual tuition, I threw the brochures away.
